Chapter 1
During a heavy rainstorm in the Marketplace, local citizens scramble for shelter while a nimble woman navigates the awnings. The mundane scene is interrupted when a mysterious figure materializes out of nowhere following a lightning strike.
A sudden and heavy rainstorm sweeps through the Marketplace, sending the local populace scrambling for cover. Gerald, a local vendor, continues working at his stall during the downpour. Mirium takes refuge behind his counter, quickly defending herself against any accusations of theft by insisting she is merely trying to stay dry. Amidst the chaos, an unknown bystander loudly laments the poor timing of the storm, and Katagin is hastily rushed into a waiting carriage to avoid falling ill from the weather.
Contrasting the panicked crowd, a nimble woman effortlessly traverses the Marketplace by leaping across the awning poles above. She scoffs at the locals taking shelter below, dismissing the torrential rain as "just a bit of water" and calling the frightened citizens ninnies.
The mundane scramble of the storm is abruptly broken by a massive lightning strike. In its immediate aftermath, a mysterious individual suddenly materializes behind one of the market stalls. Deeply disoriented and in shock, the Mysterious Arrival panics, crying out to question how they arrived and where they currently are.

“What the! Wait, how!? WHERE AM I!?”
“Oof! Ma'am, you can't stand behind the counter”
“It is RAINING; have some decency, Gerald. I'm staying dry, not stealing,”
“Whoops, 'cuse me, watch your step!”
“Tis just a bit of water, you ninnies,”
“Hmmm mhmm mmmuhh hmm hmmm.”
“By Fate, why did it have to be today!?”
“Master Katagin, please do stay dry; can't risk you getting sick again,”
“Out of the way!”
