Summary
A young woman, Erin Solstice, stumbles upon an abandoned establishment called The Wandering Inn while lost in a rainstorm. She is in a state of shock and pain, suffering from a fresh burn on her right arm and cuts on her legs. Erin recalls a terrifying encounter with a Dragon and small, goblin-like creatures, which she struggles to accept as real.
Seeking shelter from the dangers outside, she enters the inn's common room. It is covered in a thick layer of dust but otherwise appears sturdy and safe. Contemplating her desperate situation, Erin decides that staying put is her best option. She resolves to make the inn her temporary base rather than venture back out into the unknown.
Motivated by a desire to take control of her circumstances and make the space livable, Erin begins the arduous task of cleaning the filthy common room. As she works, she is surprised to find the dust vanishing with an unnatural ease. Upon finishing the task, she is startled by a voice in her head announcing that she has acquired the [Innkeeper] class at Level 1, along with two skills: [Basic Cleaning] and [Basic Cooking].

“First things first. I should stay here. I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know if this inn is safe—but it’s dusty. It’s got walls. So I explore. Also, I find something to clean all this stuff up with. I don’t want to use my shirt. Seems like a bad move, but I can’t breathe here without…okay. First steps. Pawn to E4. Pawn to C5. Sicilian Defense. Here we go.”
“Don’t be stupid. How would a Dragon fit up there? But Goblins?”
“So it’s not scary, but terrifying. Great.”
