Chapter 1.02
1.02
Erin Solstice discovered an Amentus Fruit, learned its seed pod pulp was toxic, and used it to scare off a Rock Crab. She raced back to The Wandering Inn with Goblins in pursuit, barricaded the building, fought inside despite being wounded, and defended the inn, gaining Innkeeper Level 4.
Summary
Erin Solstice explored near an orchard and found an Amentus Fruit. She ate the edible portions and identified the seed pod’s toxic pulp, noting the fruit’s large seed and strong taste. A Rock Crab approached, but she threw the seed pod, which repelled and panicked the creature, allowing her to retreat.
With the path momentarily clear, Erin returned toward The Wandering Inn. Goblins spotted and chased her, forcing her to sprint for the inn. She reached the building, slammed the door, and hurriedly barricaded doors and shutters in preparation for an attack.
Goblins broke several shutters and breached the windows, turning the common room into a battleground. During the fight, Erin sustained multiple cuts to her legs and a shallow stab to her stomach, but she managed to keep moving and hold the attackers at bay inside the inn. Despite the damage and her injuries, she stabilized her condition and continued to defend the interior.
After driving off the immediate threat, Erin survived the raid and received a class notification, advancing to Innkeeper Level 4. A brief mention of her background noted she came from Grand Rapids. The chapter closed with the inn battered but standing, and Erin alive, wounded, and newly leveled.
