Summary

The deadly confrontation reaches its brutal climax inside The Inn as Erin fights a desperate battle for her life against the Goblin Chieftain. The close-quarters fight is intense and physically devastating for her, leaving her severely wounded. During the frantic struggle, the Goblin Chieftain manages to land a critical blow, plunging a knife directly into Erin's stomach.

Bleeding and backed into a corner, Erin resorts to a desperate, last-ditch measure to survive. She grabs a heavy pot of boiling oil. The intense heat of the metal pot instantly sears her skin, causing severe burns to her bare hands, but adrenaline and the sheer will to live push her through the agonizing pain. In a final, decisive move to end the confrontation, Erin hurls the scalding oil directly at her attacker.

The boiling liquid strikes the Goblin Chieftain squarely in the face. The extreme heat melts his flesh, resulting in his gruesome and immediate death, finally ending the immediate threat to her life.

In the aftermath of the traumatic battle, Erin is left battered, stabbed, and badly burned, but victorious. The system recognizes her harrowing victory and unorthodox defense of her establishment. She advances in her class, reaching [Innkeeper] Level 9. Furthermore, as a direct result of her improvised combat tactics, she is granted two highly relevant new skills: [Bar Fighting] and [Unerring Throw].
