The runner continues her routine deliveries while wondering where her friend Ryoka has gone.

Garia arrives in Esthelm and watches Ryoka's fight, attempting unsuccessfully to talk her out of it. She is later bullied by Calruz in the mess hall.

Ryoka briefly resents Garia while overwhelmed by her hatred of socializing.

Garia accompanies Ryoka at the inn and effortlessly defends her by knocking out the adventurer Arnel with a single punch. She reveals her past as a [Farm Worker] and explains that her incredible strength comes from the [Enhanced Strength] Skill she gained. Fearing retaliation from the Adventurer's Guild, Garia considers leaving Celum by taking a long-distance delivery request.

Ryoka briefly thinks about how Garia would be sad if she were to die.

Garia enthusiastically welcomes Ryoka back to the Guild and later follows her outside, attempting to mediate the conflict by explaining her own reliance on the Guild's collective structure.

Gets drunk and goes to the Runner's Guild, talks with Fals about Courier requests, and confronts him when she realizes he knew about the cover-up of Ryoka's injury.

Visits Ryoka in the inn, physically restrains her from attacking Persua, defends her against the Street Runners by snapping a table, and listens to the adventurers.
