Pisces is described as a pale, thin young man. During the chapter, he is dusty, dirty, and sweaty from hiding. After his fight with the guardsmen, his face is bruised and he is bleeding from his nose and mouth.
Appearing first as a skeletal illusion, Pisces tries to scare Erin into giving him food but is knocked unconscious. After being woken up, his arrogant demeanor is quickly broken by Erin's threats with a pot. He attempts to scam her with a small payment but is forced to give up several silver coins. He accepts Erin's offer of food, reveals details about the world to her, and introduces himself as Pisces before departing, admitting his hobby is Necromancy.
Pisces enters the inn for food and provides Erin with exposition on magic and different types of mages. He is confronted and arrested by Relc and Klbkch for past crimes, but manages a clever escape using an illusion spell.
Pisces reveals himself to Erin, begging for sanctuary. He threatens her, is disarmed, and then captured when the guards return. During the ensuing fight, he uses several spells but is subdued and nearly executed by Relc before Erin's intervention saves his life.
Mentioned briefly when Erin hears a knock and initially wonders if it's him.
