Chapter 1.05
Erin suffers an acid burn from an exploding insect but manages to treat it and successfully prepare a hot meal. Later, she makes a shocking discovery when she finds a wooden sign on the inn's door written in English, her native language.
Erin continues to adapt to her harsh new life at the abandoned inn. Her survival is threatened when she encounters a dangerous Acid Fly. The insect explodes unexpectedly, inflicting a painful acid burn on her arm. Fortunately, Erin reacts quickly, washing the acid off before it can cause permanent or severe damage.
After treating her injury, Erin turns her focus to basic sustenance. Drawing a mental comparison to the Earth myth of Prometheus bringing fire to humanity, she manages to boil water and cook the blue fruits she previously gathered. Aided by her newly acquired [Basic Cooking] skill, she successfully prepares her first hot meal since arriving in this dangerous world, providing her with much-needed comfort and energy.
Later, while examining the inn's front door, Erin makes a startling discovery. She finds a wooden sign meant to indicate whether the establishment is open or closed. To her absolute shock, the words on the sign are written in English. This unexpected connection to Earth raises significant questions about the inn's history and whether she is truly the first person from her world to arrive in this location.
Meanwhile, in a different location, a veteran guard named Beilmark and a Rookie Guard stand watch, maintaining their post and hinting at the broader civilization existing outside of Erin's isolated inn.
Erin encounters an Acid Fly that explodes, causing a painful acid burn on her arm which she quickly washes off.
Using her Basic Cooking skill, Erin successfully boils water and cooks blue fruit, feeling akin to Prometheus from Earth mythology.

Elsewhere, Beilmark and a Rookie Guard are shown standing watch together.
“That’s definitely a bug. And it’s really ugly. If I could take it to a scientist back home, I bet I’d be famous. Since I can’t—go away, would you?”
“Ooh. I’d hate to be Relc. Klbkch didn’t do anything, though. But he’s…eugh.”
“But it’s a better day, right? A bit of a better day.”
“Who knew carrying stuff with one hand was so much of a pain? I mean, everything’s a pain.”
“Not a full one, and that’s not our call. I’ll tell the Captain. You just keep an eye on it. I think she’ll put our best patrol on it. Punishment detail for breaking all those windows yesterday.”
“I’ll deal with you later. For now, I need dough.”
“This was an inn once. But someone abandoned it. And they left a lotta useful stuff behind.”
“It was alive. There was a baby inside.”
“Gotta wash these sometime. But that means I’ll be walking around naked. Is that an issue? And what’s that smell?”
