Also known as: Erin, the traveller, the traveler, [Innkeeper], the good [Innkeeper], smooth skin, fleshbag, Erin Solace, a delicate flower of effervescence, The Deceiver, A trickster, A destroyer, Promethea, Innkeeper Solstice, the [Thief], Human innkeeper, Erin Human, Dream Erin, the cheerful [Innkeeper]
A young woman from Earth who stumbles into a fantasy world and takes refuge in an abandoned inn.
Erin is a young Human girl. Over the course of the battle, she becomes covered in blood, gore, and pus, with several deep cuts and bruises on her body.
Erin seeks shelter in an abandoned inn after fleeing from terrifying monsters. Inside, she attempts to regain control of her panic by thoroughly cleaning the dusty tables and bar using a bucket of rainwater and an old curtain, eventually falling asleep and receiving her first System classes and skills.
Wakes up in the abandoned inn and realizes she is in another world. Driven by hunger, she explores the grasslands, narrowly escapes a giant crab-monster, and discovers strange trees bearing blue fruit.
Erin experiments with the blue fruits, using their toxic seed to ward off a rock crab. She is then chased back to the inn by a group of goblins, where she viciously fights them off with chairs and a knife, ultimately surviving and leveling up.
Erin gathers blue fruits, unconsciously uses a skill to clean the inn, and nearly dies of dehydration before finding the stream. After surviving a fish attack and bathing, she accidentally slices her hand open trying to butcher the fish and suffers agonizing pain through the night.
Erin struggles with a severe hand injury, discovers magical preservation runes in the kitchen that she accidentally destroys, and then ambushes and beats a Goblin intruder who sneaks down the stairs.
Erin wakes up in the inn, disposes of a rotting fish, suffers an acid burn from a glowing fly, steals massive eggs from a dinosaur-bird, successfully makes a fire to cook a meal of pasta and sausage, and finally greets a giant insect visitor.
Erin hosts two guardsmen who arrive at the Wandering Inn, sharing her food with them and learning about the world's leveling mechanics and races. She receives magical healing for her poisoned hand and later falls asleep, leveling up to an [Innkeeper] Level 5.
Erin gathers food, levels up to gain a crafting skill, makes a basket, suffers from severe food poisoning from the blue fruits, deduces how to identify safe ones, and is ultimately attacked by a skeletal monstrosity while waiting for the guards to visit.
Wakes up to Pisces demanding food and reluctantly serves him. Later, she hosts Relc and Klbkch, inadvertently exposing Pisces' crimes and watching the ensuing confrontation.
Confronts Pisces when he demands shelter, and later intervenes to stop the guards from executing him by legally declaring her inn an independent jurisdiction.
Erin forces herself to eat rubbery blue fruits before deciding she must travel to Liscor for supplies. She braves the long walk, wards off stalking Goblins, and enters the massive city, where she is overwhelmed by the crowds and architecture. After being yelled at by several locals, she wanders into the Adventurer's Guild, only to be bullied and kicked out by an aggressive Gnoll.
Erin wanders the city of Liscor and visits the market, where she is overcharged by a hostile Drake shopkeeper. Later, she is ambushed by Goblins, rescued by Relc, and returns to the inn where she cries and levels up.
Erin receives a horrifying apology gift of severed heads from Relc, buries the bodies, spares a young attacking Goblin, and is subsequently hunted back to her inn by the Goblin Chieftain, where she prepares a final trap.
Fights a desperate and brutal battle against an intruder, suffering a stab wound and agonizing burns before killing her attacker and leveling up.
Erin is saved from the brink of death by Klbkch's healing potion. She struggles with the trauma of her near-death experience, questions the world's leveling mechanics, and suffers from lingering terrifying memories of the Goblin Chieftain.
Experiences severe depression and hallucinations of dead goblins, defends the living goblins from Relc and Pisces, screams away a rock crab, and finally feeds four starving goblins, breaking her depressive spell.
Waking up to find a bounty reward for defeating a Hobgoblin, Erin goes to the Liscor market to confront the shopkeeper who scammed her. She successfully leverages her perfect memory to demand a refund, leading to a wagered chess match against Olesm where she confidently outplays him.
Erin wins a public chess match against Olesm, recovers her stolen money, and shops for supplies. Later, she is overcome with profound guilt over killing the Goblin Chieftain and paints signs officially naming her home The Wandering Inn and forbidding the killing of Goblins.
She wakes up to the start of her period and travels into Liscor in desperation for pads. After a frustrating and humiliating exchange with Krshia, she finds help and advice at the Adventurer's Guild, only to return home to an insect infestation.
Cleared the inn of an Acid Fly infestation, fed and defeated Pisces in chess, survived a fly swarm attack, and reached Level 10 as an Innkeeper.
Erin tries to shop in Liscor, witnesses a brutal hunt by Goblins on a Rock Crab, and later serves a meal to Relc and Klbkch while learning about the region's politics, history, and dangers.
Klbkch thinks of her fondly, viewing her silly chess games as a rare bright spot in his dreary life.
Erin fails at making ice cream, attempts to defend her inn from an invasion of forty Goblins using Bar Fighting, suffers numerous stab wounds, and carries the mortally wounded Klbkch towards Liscor after the battle.
Erin reels from the trauma of Klbkch's death, facing the hostility of the Free Queen and the Watch before triggering true individuality in an Antinium Worker and returning to her inn.
Erin plays numerous games of chess while grappling with her grief, learns about the world's leveling mechanics, and eventually teaches the Antinium an 'Immortal Game' before leveling up as an [Innkeeper].
Erin manages her diverse inn guests and tries to learn magic from Pisces before visiting Liscor. While shopping with Selys, she receives a comprehensive lesson on the geography of Izril and considers exploring the local area.
Erin ventures out of her inn to explore, survives an encounter with an exploding tree, and accidentally falls into a massive spider nest while fleeing an armored giant spider.
Arrives in the city with a cart of dead Shield Spiders, completely shocking the Guild receptionist with her casual attitude. She later converses with fellow humans at a tavern but leaves when they display prejudice toward non-humans.
Walks through the market, is confronted by Lism, and is saved by Krshia. Solves Olesm's chess puzzle from the Titan, brings Gazi to her inn, and cooks for her guests while managing tensions.
Erin visits Liscor with Selys, tours the ruins, and gets paid for her spider kills. After returning to find her inn ransacked, she buys weapons to bribe Rags for protection, but ultimately sells the Goblins acid jars instead. Later, she is gifted a skeleton by Pisces, which she forces to clean the dirty upper floor of her inn.
Erin wakes up to a newly leveled class and a clean inn thanks to the skeleton. She hires Pawn and the Workers to build her an outhouse in exchange for meals, serves a packed evening crowd, and attempts to de-escalate a confrontation when human adventurers threaten her monstrous patrons.
Tries to learn magic from Pisces but discovers she lacks the innate potential. She then travels to Liscor, visits Krshia's home, and accidentally shocks the Gnoll into fainting by revealing the sheer population size of her magic-less homeworld.
Erin discusses Earth with Krshia, admits she desperately wants to go home, and learns that an Archmage at Wistram might be her only hope. She returns to the inn, scolds her skeleton for making a mess with dead fish, and breaks down crying from homesickness and her lack of magic.
Erin discovers Market Street burnt down, tries unsuccessfully to defend Pawn from being abducted by a new Prognugator, and later stops a group of adventurers from killing Rags and her Goblins in her inn.
Erin spends the chapter frantically cooking and catering to the large group of adventurers staying at her inn. She interacts with Ceria about magic, embarrasses herself trying to speak Elvish, learns about Minotaurs from Calruz, and finally reacts in horror when the mutilated Pawn arrives.
Comforts the mutilated Pawn by playing chess and singing to him. Uses [Immortal Moment] to create a profound emotional resonance and achieves [Innkeeper] Level 15.
Exhausted and suffering from a cold and sore throat, Erin sleeps on the floor of her kitchen. She wakes briefly to beg Pawn not to return to the dangerous Hive, but is persuaded by his lies and falls back into a deep sleep.
Erin tries to teach Toren how to play chess with little success, speaks briefly with Gazi, and is later convinced by Calruz to learn how to fight after he shatters a rock.
Erin cooks pancakes for the adventurers, successfully chases off a hidden Rock Crab with toxic seed cores, undergoes grueling hand-to-hand combat training with Calruz, and unexpectedly learns a combat Skill after defeating Toren.
Erin provides a hearty breakfast for the Horns of Hammerad, recovering from her cold, and bids them farewell with a warning not to get killed by dragons.
Erin feels a profound sense of incoming danger, prepares for an attack, and waits anxiously at her inn before running to the bathroom.
Defends her inn alongside the Workers, throwing acid and pans at the undead. She is temporarily paralyzed by Skinner's fear but overcomes it by playing a mental game of chess, ultimately hurling a massive jar of acid at the monster.
Fights tenaciously against the undead, takes a severe wound, is rescued and healed by her Antinium guards, and makes a final stand against Skinner with a kitchen knife.
Erin awakens to the sight of the Antinium burning their dead, levels up, and converses with a revived Klbkch before collapsing from physical and emotional exhaustion.
“That’s definitely a bug. And it’s really ugly. If I could take it to a scientist back home, I bet I’d be famous. Since I can’t—go away, would you?”
“Look. It’s complicated, and I can’t really explain. But would you believe…magic? Like a crazy, crazy, uh, teleportation spell?”
“I don’t want it anyways. Besides, you tried to rob me last time. You’re here on sufferance because I feel bad for you.”
“I guess. I haven’t ever tried that, and besides, I don’t have a hammer. Actually, I’ve never swung a hammer in my life.”
