Summary

Ryoka pushes herself to her absolute physical limits, running continuously south from the Flood Plains near Liscor toward the Blood Fields and the Gnoll tribe lands. Despite bleeding feet and severe exhaustion, she repeatedly bandages her cuts and refuses to stop. Her desperate pace is driven by the fact that she is being relentlessly pursued by three unidentified figures.

As she travels, Ryoka comes across a valley where a brutal skirmish is unfolding between different factions of Goblins. A disciplined defending tribe is holding off a larger feathered tribe using basic infantry line tactics. Suddenly, a surprise attack group of heavily armed Goblins flanks the feathered tribe. This elite group is led by a small, female Goblin spellcaster. Using magical fire, the small Goblin targets the massive feathered tribe chieftain, setting him ablaze and killing him to turn the tide of the battle.

Spotted by a Goblin sentry, Ryoka realizes she cannot afford to lose time by detouring around the battlefield. Instead, she makes the split-second decision to charge directly through the skirmish. As she barrels through, she encounters the small Goblin spellcaster. Without breaking her stride, Ryoka delivers a violent, flying kick directly into the Goblin's shield, catapulting the small caster across the ground. Ryoka leaves the shocked Goblins behind, continuing her grueling, non-stop marathon to outrun the three figures on her trail.
