Chapter 1.21
Erin gets her period and travels to Liscor to find supplies, facing harassment from a Gnoll before Selys helps her make reusable pads. Upon returning to the Wandering Inn, she must fend off a swarm of Acid Flies attracted to her bloody clothes and kick out a freeloading Pisces.
Erin woke up to discover she had started her period, frustrated by the lack of modern supplies in her new world. She headed into Liscor to find a solution.
At the Adventurer's Guild, her bloody scent attracted the negative attention of a large male Gnoll named Terbore. He attempted to bully her out of the building, but Erin aggressively stood her ground and refused to be intimidated. Selys, the Drake receptionist, intervened and pulled Erin aside. Erin struggled to explain human menstruation using euphemisms to Selys and Krshia Silverfang, eventually learning that Drakes do not menstruate and Gnolls only experience a painless estrus cycle. Pitying her, Selys used her [Fast Stitching] Skill to quickly sew a set of reusable pads out of stiff cloth and bandages.
Thankful for the help, Erin returned to The Wandering Inn, only to face a new crisis. A swarm of dangerous Acid Flies had invaded the inn, attracted by the scent of her discarded bloody clothes. The flies' corrosive juices began burning holes into the wooden floorboards before Erin managed to deal with them. Afterward, Erin found Pisces eating her soup without paying while complaining about its quality. Having entirely lost her patience for the day, she promptly kicked him out of the inn.

“I’ve never heard of video game characters dealing with this! How do you expect Lara Croft to climb mountains with a giant frickin’ diaper in her pants? I’d love to see Leia fighting stormtroopers on her cycle!”
“Bully me once, shame on you. Bully me twice—I get mean. And violent.”
“I hate you so much right now I can’t even explain.”
“Good day, Miss Solstice. What a coincidence running into you here.”
“Do I look like I’m in the mood to be bullied?”
“The menstrual cycle. You know, that time of the month when you donate blood. When Aunt Flo comes to town. Shark week. The Crimson Tide. Parting the Red Sea!”
“I can see that. But I would have known it anyways. Terbore might growl at you, but we all heard about how you killed that Goblin Chieftain by yourself. That was some story.”
“You’re lucky. Goblins are a real problem around here. I mean, sure, the lone Goblin isn’t that dangerous. But they’re one of the few monster species that can level. That’s why we send out Senior Guardsmen and post bounties on Goblins to keep their numbers down. Before we get a Goblin Chieftain with high levels. Or a Goblin Lord.”
“You know! Riding the cotton pony! It’s that thing ladies have! The waterfalls of hell! The blood baptism! The get-out-of-swim-class card! The proof of womanhood! The part of the month where blood comes out of your—”
