Chapter 1.62
As Liscor's defenders falter and Ksmvr withdraws the Antinium, the Queen successfully resurrects Klbkch, who rallies his forces to protect Erin. At the inn, Erin faces Skinner's true parasitic form before Klbkch and Rags arrive to save her, ending the undead threat.
The defense of Liscor begins to collapse as Watch Captain Zevara and the City Watch are forced to fall back to Market Street for a desperate final stand. Making matters worse, Ksmvr orders all Antinium Soldiers to retreat to the Hive, abandoning the city streets. However, inside the Hive, the Queen completes the Rite of Anastases, successfully resurrecting Klbkch. Returning in a slim, graceful new body with only two arms, an enraged Klbkch confronts Ksmvr for abandoning the city. Announcing that True Antinium never truly die and that he has a promise to keep, Klbkch rallies the Antinium forces and leads a massive charge back into the city, leaving a stunned Relc and Tkrn in his wake.
At The Wandering Inn, Erin Solstice sustains a severe chest wound. Bird gives her a healing potion and reveals his name, while the worker Knight is found dead near the entrance. Showing immense bravery, Erin refuses to succumb to terror and charges outside with her sword to face Skinner. During the clash, Skinner reveals its true form: a lightning-fast, eyeless red flesh worm that uses a stolen skin suit like a puppet. Skinner impales Bird with a flesh tendril, but Toren manages to gouge out Skinner's eye before fleeing into the darkness.
Just as Erin is about to be overwhelmed, Klbkch arrives with a swarm of Antinium to defend her. Moments later, Rags and an army of goblins arrive at the inn. Armed with a bronze sword and fire magic, Rags swarms the monstrous Crypt Lord and executes Skinner. With their leader dead, the remaining undead abandon the siege and march back to The Ruins. Following the battle, Klbkch finally reunites with Erin at the inn, fulfilling his promise to protect her.
